What to Do in a Dental Emergency?
A dental emergency can be very sudden and happen when you least expect it. Chipping a tooth when biting into food, knocking it out after running into a door, or agonising over a painful toothache are common occurrences.
What you should do when these happen is to avoid touching the areas directly. If possible, try to rinse your tooth or teeth as well as the affected areas with clean water.
If there is bleeding, try to compress a wet gauze to the area to minimise it. If you see and feel swelling on your face, put cold compress or an ice pack on it.
